SS Willie Bloomquist had a three-hit game while extending his hitting streak to eight games. He has multi-hit games in six of his last seven while, and he also scored three runs Wednesday in a bounce-back 11-4 victory over Los Angeles after an 8-7 loss the night before. "There wasn't much we could do about yesterday, but how we bounced back today and put up some runs early was obviously impressive," Bloomquist said.

Bloomquist had three hits Friday in a 6-4 win over the Royals.

Bloomquist will be back in the starting lineup Thursday against the Rockies, the Diamondbacks' official Twitter account reports.
Recommendation: Bloomquist will return to the two hole for the D-Backs after sitting out two of the last four contests. He has gotten off to a rough start in 2012, as his hit count (25) is just one higher than his strikeout total. Bloomquist may begin to surrender more playing time to John McDonald.
