Ichiro went 2-for-4 and stole three bases in Tuesday's loss to the Yankees. Recommendation: As good as Ichiro has been in his career, he might be locked in better than he ever has been. He had multiple hits in seven in a row before a one-hit night on Monday, but still he has hit in 12 in a row and 35 of his last 37. His 16 stolen bases would be the fewest in his career before the All-Star break, but perhaps his legs will be fresher in the second half. Last season, he stole 34 bases in the first half but only nine in the second half. |
