May 8 LF Juan Pierre went hitless in three at-bats with a walk in Wednesday's loss to the Mets, snapping his hitting streak at six games. Pierre has started each of the past six games and has now started 19 of the Dodgers' first 34 games. He has struck out just three times in 91 plate appearances this season, an average of once every 30.3 trips to the plate. Yahoo! Sports

May 5 Pierre, in his fifth consecutive start in left field, went 1-for-3 with a walk, stolen base, and two runs scored Monday against the Mets.

Recommendation: Andre Ethier has been the guy losing the majority of the playing time lately, though Andruw Jones has seen the bench as well. If anyone deserves more time on the pine, it's Jones, he of the .158 average and one home run in 102 at-bats.
