1B Carlos Lee tallied three singles Wednesday night, to creep back above the .300 mark, finding production even as his power continues to drop late in his career. "I've been hitting the ball real good the last three weeks," Lee said. "Today was one of the days that I hit it hard and they found a hole."

Lee, whose salary will make him difficult to deal this summer, appears unlikely to waive his no-trade clause and wants to remain in Houston badly, CBS Sports reports.
Recommendation: Lee has gotten a reputation as a bit of a creature of habit, so this really isn't much of a surprise. The Astros will try to deal Lee this summer, but if they are unable, don't be surprised if they restructure his remaining payments in exchange for a one-year extension. The team will be moving to the AL next year and will need a DH, at least until some of their minor-league talent is ready.
