Vazquez gave up two runs in 5 1-3 innings of Atlanta's 5-2 victory over Philadelphia on Thursday night. Advice: Vazquez held the Phillies scoreless for five innings before giving up two runs in the sixth. Though he delivered another strong outing, the right-hander wasn't rewarded with the win. He's 1-4 over his last eight starts despite his 2.68 ERA in that stretch. |

Recommendation: The Red Sox combined for a four-hit shutout, making Vazquez a tough-luck loser once again. He fanned eight more batters on Saturday, upping his season total to 125. You'd be hard pressed to find another five-win pitcher that has dogged as frequently as Vazquez this season. |
