Next Match: away to Atletico Madrid, November 07 Europe: UEFA Champions League (Group C) Real Madrid appears to have recovered from a worrying dip in form which saw the club lose three games in just over a week. Manuel Pellegrini's side was thrashed 4-0 by Second Division B team Alcorcon in the Copa del Rey, lost 3-2 at home to AC Milan in the Champions League and went down 2-1 at Sevilla in the league recently. Madrid also failed to beat Sporting Gijon away from home in the league and pressure looked to be rising on Pellegrini. But a 2-0 win at home to Getafe last weekend, secured with just 10 men on the pitch, and a creditable tie at Milan on Tuesday, appear to have eased pressure. Pellegrini's side, just a point behind fierce rival Barcelona in second place, now travels to Atletico Madrid for a capital derby clash on Saturday. Raul could be on the bench for the third game running, while Cristiano Ronaldo remains sidelined. Pepe, Guti and Ezequiel Garay have trained normally, though, and could all feature. |
