Zionsville Hockey Club wins State

Mar. 5—The Zionsville Hockey Club won the state title on Saturday night, topping Evansville Purple 1-0 in the Class 4A State Title game in South Bend.

The Eagles lone goal came late in the first period, with Noah Farb finding the back of the net on assists from Alek Molinaro and Charlie Farb. It was Noah's team best 29th goal of the season.

Goaltender Jackson Herbold had the shutout in net for the Eagles. It was his 11th of the season and 13th for the team overall.

The team finished the season 36-10.

The Eagles are made of players from around central Indiana, with players from Zionsville and Lebanon in Boone County, as well as some from other schools from around the area.

The team is coached by Ben Highsmith, with assistants Alek Shahbaz, Chris Clyne, Greg Baranowski, J.T. Turner and Tyler Beasley.
