Pittsburgh must have done something to anger Duke freshman sensation Zion Williamson before Tuesday’s game. Because while it’s common for Williamson to completely dominate other teams, he seemed extra motivated to destroy the Panthers.

Williamson was perfect from the field during an unstoppable first half Tuesday night. By the time the first half ended, Williamson scored 19 points on a perfect 9-of-9 from the field. Oh, and he also added five rebounds.

Not everything Williamson put up wound up going in the basket. He went 0-for-2 from the free-throw line in the first half.

Williamson’s perfect streak ended early in the second quarter. His first miss of the night came on a three-point attempt.

Williamson picked an ideal team to turn in his best half of the season. He made sure to do it in front of Jay-Z.

Jay-Z, as you may recall, owns Roc Nation Sports and Williamson may be in the market for an agent in the near future.

The Panthers played much better against Williamson in the second half. Williamson scored just six points after halftime, finishing the game with 25 points. He was unable to match or surpass his career-high of 35 points.

Behind Williamson’s strong showing, Duke led Pittsburgh 44-25 at halftime. Even without him putting up a ton of points in the second half, Duke cruised to a 79-64 win over the Panthers.
