Zero votes for the Florida Gators in AP Poll after LSU loss

Another week of college football has wrapped up and the Associated Press placed their votes ahead of Week 12.

Unfortunately for the Gators, who are on a downswing as of late, received zero votes after a road loss to the LSU Tigers, 52-35. The Gators’ defense is in shambles while the offense has been doing all they can to stay within arm’s reach of a victory.

The Tigers, on the flip side, look like they’re maintaining the hopes of making it to a New Year’s Six bowl, moving up three spots this week to No. 15. There was a clear difference in talent Saturday night as LSU head coach Brian Kelly and his squad dismantled the Gators.

Florida’s next opponent, the Missouri Tigers, made a significant climb up five spots to No. 11 after taking down the Tennessee Volunteers in convincing fashion at home, 36-7.

The Gators’ in-state rival Florida State Seminoles managed to squeak by the Miami Hurricanes, 27-20, and maintain their claim in the College Football Playoffs. The Seminoles have been resting at No. 4 for several and as long as the teams in front of them keep winning, like the No. 1 Georgia Bulldogs, then FSU will keep to the status quo.

The Florida Gators will gear up for another road trip when they travel to face the Missouri Tigers. The game is slated to start at 7:30 p.m. ET and will be broadcast on ESPN.
