Sacramento Kings forward Zach Randolph and New Orleans Pelicans forward DeMarcus Cousins mixed it up Friday night, and you know neither was eager to back down. While no punches were thrown, you could say a knock out was delivered.

As the two were standing next to each other during a free throw attempt, Randolph shut down Cousins verbally.

As they are right next to each other, Randolph says, “Where I’m from, bullies get bullied.” He then looks at Cousins and says, “In my hood, bullies get bullied.” Cooler heads eventually prevailed, possibly because Cousins wasn’t sure how to respond.

Prior to the free throws, Cousins and Randolph had some not-so-pleasant words with each other. That led to the exchange.

Given that it was Randolph delivering those words and not Kevin Durant, we don’t expect Cousins to try and escalate things in the locker room after the game.

It wasn’t Randolph’s only win of the night, either. The Kings went on to defeat the Pelicans 116-109 on Friday. Randolph scored 35 points.

On top of all that, he created what we imagine is going to become a popular catchphrase for at least the next week or so. That’s a pretty successful night, all things considered.
