Can Zach LaVine join top 3-point shooters in NBA history? originally appeared on NBC Sports Chicago

Damian Lillard made history Tuesday night in Indiana.

The All-Star guard became just the 10th player ever to eclipse the 2,000 career made 3-pointers mark by knocking down four triples in the Trail Blazers' blowout win over the Indiana Pacers.

Lillard reached the milestone in his 671st game, a pace bested only by Stephen Curry, who achieved the feat in his 597th game.

Here's a look at the 10 members of the 2,000 3-pointers club:

  1. Ray Allen (2,973 3-pointers)

  2. Stephen Curry (2,773)

  3. Reggie Miller (2,560)

  4. Kyle Korver (2,450)

  5. James Harden (2,441)

  6. Vince Carter (2,290)

  7. Jason Terry (2,282)

  8. Jamal Crawford (2,221)

  9. Paul Pierce (2,143)

  10. Damian Lillard (2,001)

Chicago has two former players on this list in Kyle Korver and Jamal Crawford, but neither did most of their damage from beyond the arc in a Bulls uniform. Crawford made 318 3-pointers across four seasons in Chicago, while Korver knocked down 238 during a two-year stint. But Zach LaVine looks primed to eventually join the 2,000 club while having most of his 3-point makes come as a member of the Bulls (assuming they can lock him up long term, of course). LaVine surpassed 180 made 3s for a second straight year and is up to 828 for his career as he closes out his age-25 season.
