Young and promising core defenders want their leader back in free agency

As NFL free agency treks along for the active Cleveland Browns, a couple of young and promising core members of their defense are advocating for the team to re-sign Anthony Walker Jr. Both cornerback Greg Newsome II and linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah have taken to Twitter to make their feeling known on their desire to see their leader return to the Browns in free agency.

Walker Jr. has been known as a glue guy in the locker room and one of the team’s best leaders. As the Browns look to transition to a new regime under defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz, bringing back a positive voice is a necessary idea for the team to have as they look to add another linebacker.
