The UConn Huskies football program has been on a hot streak in recruiting lately as they have landed six commits in month of June. One of their newest commits was WR Heron Maurisseau out St. Anthony’s High School over in Melville, NY. He spoke with StorrsCentral about his decision and what made him want to commit.
“I’m fully committed to UConn,” Maurisseau told StorrsCentral. "I let god handle everything and this was the place he presented to me. They are on the rise and they have a great plan for the next, upcoming season.”
The Class of 2018 WR prospect took the trip over to UConn for a visit and made the decision on campus to commit.
“I spoke mostly with coaches Aaron Smith and Coach Edsall the most out of everyone on the staff. They tell me mostly everything , I told them I committed on a visit,” Maurisseau said.
Maurisseau went on to talk a little more in detail about the unofficial visit to Storrs.
"The staff basically showed me the school and told us everything about the football program. They told us about the academic achievements and we also a tour of the entire school,” said Maurisseau.
