“Yellowstone” actor Cole Hauser will soon have a reason to visit Fort Worth regularly.

Hauser, who plays Rip Wheeler on the hit Paramount Network show, announced that his son — Ryland Hauser — is attending Texas Christian University in the fall. The young Hauser, 18, just graduated from Jensen Beach High School in Florida earlier this month.

In an Instagram post to his 1.6 million followers, Cole Hauser congratulated his son on becoming a Horned Frog.

“So very proud of my first born boy,” Hauser wrote online. “Can’t wait to see your next chapter in your life.”

The official TCU Instagram account commented under the post and congratulated the pair.

“Congratulations! We’re so happy to have him join the Horned Frog family!,” the university account wrote.

Ryland played football at Jensen Beach, where his 6-foot-4 frame was positioned as tight end and sometimes wide receiver. At a Mississippi State workout last summer, he ran a 4.65 40-yard dash, according to Treasure Coast Newspapers.

The younger Hauser received a few Division 1 offers to play football after high school from Mississippi State, Stetson University and University of North Alabama. He also had conversations with TCU about walking on to the football team, but that’s as far as things went.

As of now, Ryland is headed to Fort Worth as a student.

“You have done an amazing job raising me, showing anything is possible if I put my mind to it!,” Ryland commented under his dad’s post. “Can’t wait to go chase my dreams and put words into reality!”

Cole Hauser is no stranger to Fort Worth.

The “Yellowstone” actor stopped by the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo in February to sign autographs alongside the western series’ creator, Taylor Sheridan. Hauser was also in town earlier this month filming a commercial for the Professional Bull Riding organization at the World Finals held in Dickies Arena.

Hauser has been on “Yellowstone” since it premiered in 2018 and has become a fan favorite for his portrayal of rough and tough cowboy Rip Wheeler. The Paramount Network show closed out its first half of season 5 earlier this year and will premiere the last six episodes later this fall.
