After a split in North America on Team SoloMid, Bora “YellOwStaR” Kim has returned to Fnatic, the team announced Wednesday.

Following Fnatic’s semifinal run at the 2015 World Championships, the veteran support player was one of three Fnatic players to leave the organization for the NA LCS (the others being Heo “Huni” Seung-hoon and Kim “Reignover” Yeu-jin.)

The move to TSM was much heralded, as he joined Yilliang “Doublelift” Peng in the bottom lane, potentially creating one of the best lanes in the world. The move didn’t seem to work out as well as planned, however, with TSM finishing in 6th place after the regular season and losing to Counter Logic Gaming in the playoff finals.

TSM has released a statement regarding his departure.

“Initially, we brought YellOwStaR on to help fix shotcalling issues within the team, but it very quickly became apparent that his playstyle as a support was something that did not mesh properly with the team,” it reads. “Despite making large strides that culminated in a second place finish at the NA LCS playoffs, we were approached by YellOwStaR who expressed his desire to return to Europe. Ultimately, both parties agreed that it would be in his best interest for us to honor his request.”

With YellOwStaR’s return, Fnatic will have three of the five Worlds semifinalists on their starting roster.
