The 2021 MLB Draft is still months away, but that doesn't mean experts can't begin to predict which amateurs will go where.
The Yankees get the 20th pick this year, and in his second mock draft, MLB.com's Jonathan Mayo believes they will go with UC Santa Barbara RHP Michael McGreevy.
"College pitchers who scouts feel confident can start always creep up and McGreevy keeps moving up boards with good size, stuff and feel for pitching, not to mention an eye-popping 100/8 K/BB ratio," Mayo wrote.
The 21-year-old California native has good size at 6-foot-4, 200 pounds, and has had a very successful career pitching for the Gauchos.
McGreevy has pitched 170.0 innings over 46 appearances the last three seasons, racking up 179 strikeouts to just 28 walks, 10 home runs allowed, and a 2.22 ERA.
He also has starting potential, having gone 9-1 in 17 career starts.
