The Yankees activated RHP Domingo German from the 10-day IL before Wednesday night's game against the Texas Rangers.

German, who had been working his way back from a shoulder injury, hasn't pitched in the majors since July 31.

Before landing on the IL, German had a 4.45 ERA and 1.16 WHIP with 95 strikeouts in 97.0 innings (18 starts, three relief appearances).

German's return gives the Yankees even more pitching help, coming on the heels of the activation of Luis Severino, who pitched for the Yanks on Tuesday for the first time since 2019.

TAILLON GETTING CLOSE

Jameson Taillon, who has been out due to an ankle injury, will start a rehab assignment on Wednesday night for Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
