WWE wrestler Jeff Hardy was arrested Saturday following a single-car accident in North Carolina in which he wrecked his 2016 Cadillac CTS-V. According to local police, Hardy drifted off the road and collided with a guard rail. Tests administered at the site of the accident indicated that Hardy had a blood alcohol content of .25, three times the state’s legal limit of .08.

Hardy was immediately arrested and taken into custody. His car sustained an estimated $8,000 in damages, and the guardrail another $5,000, per local reports.

Hardy, 40, is one-half of the Hardy Boyz tag team. Along with his brother Matt, Jeff has wrestled professionally for more than two decades, starting with local wrestling in 1993 and signing with WWE in 1998. Hardy had not wrestled since undergoing surgery in September, but was scheduled to begin training again this month.

“Jeff Hardy is responsible for his own personal actions,” the WWE said in a statement. “We are investigating the matter and awaiting information from local law enforcement officials.”
