WWE star Jimmy Uso was arrested this week in Detroit after an alleged confrontation with police, according to TMZ.

Uso, whose real name is Jonathan Fatu, was with his wife, fellow WWE fighter Naomi, when they were pulled over by police near downtown Detroit. According to TMZ, police said Naomi was driving the wrong way on a one-way street. The car reportedly “reeked” of alcohol, and police asked Naomi to step out of the car.

While she was speaking with the officers, Uso reportedly got out of the car to confront the officers against their commands. He allegedly took off his jacket and shirt before he “squared up” in a fighting position.

The 33-year-old later calmed down and was arrested for disorderly conduct and obstruction without incident. He was released on bond.

“Jonathan Fatu is responsible for his own personal actions,” WWE said in a statement to Sports Illustrated on Thursday.

The pair were not in Detroit for a WWE show, according to TMZ.

Uso and his twin brother, fellow WWE fighter Jey Uso, are scheduled to take on Shane McMahon and The Miz in the SmackDown Tag Team Championships at Sunday’s Elimination Chamber in Houston. The duo signed with WWE in 2009, and have developed into one of the best tag teams in WWE history.
