WTA roundup: Garcia, Yastremska into Strasbourg final

No. 6 seed Dayana Yastremska will try for her second title of the season on Saturday after upsetting No. 2 seed Aryna Sabalenka of Belarus 6-4, 6-4 in the semifinals of the Internationaux de Strasbourg in France on Friday.

In the final, she'll face No. 4 seed Caroline Garcia of France, who defeated compatriot Chloe Paquet 6-3, 6-4 in the other semifinal.

Yastremska, 19, hasn't dropped a set during her run to her third career singles final. She's never faced Garcia, who is shooting for her seventh career singles title.

Nurnberger Versicherungs Cup

Slovenia's Tamara Zidansek stunned No. 2 seed Katerina Siniakova of the Czech Republic 7-6 (4), 6-2 to reach the final in Germany.

She'll face another hurdle in the final against top-seeded Yulia Putintseva of Kazakhstan, who held off Sorana Cirstea of Romania 6-4, 7-5 in the other semifinal.

Zidansek beat Putintseva in three sets in their only other meeting earlier this season in Morocco.
