Wrestling: DC/Litchfield has 1 wrestler in semifinals

Feb. 23—PRINCETON — Dassel-Cokato/Litchfield's OJ Winston remains in the hunt for the 215-pound championship after Day 1 of the Section 6AA individual wrestling tournament on Friday.

Winston, a junior from D-C, got a first-round bye. He followed that up with a fall over Rocori's Christian Rodriguez in 3 minutes, 15 seconds to make the semifinals. He'll face Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted's Colton Long in the semis on Day 2 Saturday.

The top two wrestlers at each weight will qualify for the state tournament.

Four Charging Dragons — Presley Havermeier (114), Evan Block (121), Adrian Miller (145) and Luis Serrato (285) — remain in the consolation bracket.
