Ben Simmons’ long-awaited Brooklyn Nets debut will come in the pressure-packed environment of what might be the NBA’s most competitive first-round series, and according to the latest update on Simmons’ condition from Adrian Wojnarowski, Simmons hasn’t yet been ruled out for Game 3 on Saturday.

Simmons was cleared for contact earlier this week, and has begun practicing alongside his teammates. His last appearance in an NBA game came on June 20th, 2021, a full 10 months ago.

Following Game 2 on Wednesday, the Nets will have two off days, but according to Wojnarowski, there are still hurdles for Simmons to clear before he’s deemed ready to play.
