Seattle Storm star Breanna Stewart proposed to her girlfriend, Phoenix Mercury guard Marta Xargay, at Papago Park in Phoenix on Sunday.

A photo of the proposal was posted on social media by the Storm, which will play the Mercury in a preseason game at Phoenix Suns Arena on Saturday.

Stewart, 26, was the 2018 WNBA Most Valuable Player and led the Storm to WNBA titles in 2018 and 2020.

Xargay, 30, is a Spanish guard who played for the Mercury in 2015 and 2016 and is back in training camp with Phoenix for the first time since.
