Hachimura joins Washington Redskins rookie quarterback Dwayne Haskins on the brand's star-studded roster. Boston Celtics star forward Jayson Tatum also signed with the brand Friday.

Picked ninth overall, Hachimura is the first Japanese national to be drafted in the first round of the NBA Draft. Now, the former Gonzaga star is also the first Japanese-born athlete to sign with Jordan Brand.

"It's a very special feeling," Hachimura said in a press release. "Jordan Brand is one of the top companies in the world, so it's amazing to be a part of it."

And for all the sneakerheads out there, Huchimura says the Air Jordan 3 is his favorite.
