The newest addition to the Wizards' front office, Antawn Jamison, joined Wizards Talk podcast to discuss his new role as a Director of Pro Personnel. When asked why DC has a special place in his heart, especially after a nearly two-decade career in the league, he said it was "like my second family."

"When you go through things in life as you get older there's certain places, there's certain people that you know they're gonna be your family until the day you die and I have that type of connection with the Wizards," he said.

Jamison spent five-and-a-half seasons in Washington, from 2004 to 2010 and served as a leader both on and off the court.

"I had my most success as a player, team-wise and as an individual, I became a captain I learned how to be a professional and so forth through all of my teams but once I was with the Wizards man it just went to another level but the Wizards is my family, no matter how you want to see it no matter how it goes they will always be my family and I'm glad to be back."

Jamison will work closely with the new VP of pro-personnel, Johnny Rogers and will be responsible for helping to oversee scouting for the G-League team, Capital City Go-Go.
