After a 66-7 victory over the New Mexico State Aggies, the Wisconsin Badgers are now projected to play in the Citrus Bowl against the Kentucky Wildcats according to USA TODAY Sports’ latest bowl projections.
Wisconsin has moved up from their prediction last week, where they were projected to play against Virginia Tech in Duke’s Mayo Bowl.
The Badgers have played in three Citrus Bowls in their history, while it was still named the Capitol One Bowl. In that time, Wisconsin won two of three only falling to South Carolina in 2013. They have played the Kentucky Wildcats only once in a 20-19 loss in the 1984 Hall of Fame Classic Bowl.
Wisconsin will go up against the No. 3-ranked Ohio State Buckeyes on Saturday in a game that could have big implications for their position in the Big Ten West and top 25 rankings.
