Wisconsin football names its next tight ends coach

The Badgers officially have their next tight ends coach. Nate Letton was promoted from quality control coach to tight ends coach on Friday.

Letton held the same position on the Cincinnati staff under Fickell in 2022.

“Nate is a tremendous young coach and we’re really fortunate to be able to add him to our on-field staff,” Fickell said in UW’s press release. “Having been with him for the last three years, I’ve seen first-hand his relentless work ethic and his ability to connect and mentor our student-athletes. He will do an outstanding job with our tight ends and is a great addition to our staff.”

Letton was a graduate assistant under Fickell in 2020-21 and earned the tight ends coach job in 2022.

Under Letton’s leadership, Cincinnati tight end Josh Whyle earned first team All-AAC honors in 2022.
