Wisconsin cornerback attends NFL pro day at his former school

Wisconsin cornerback Jason Maitre did not attend the program’s NFL pro day earlier this month. Instead, the veteran cornerback participated in the pro day at Boston College — his former school.

The now-former Badger played five seasons at Boston College before transferring to Wisconsin for the 2023 season. He finished the 2023 season with 24 tackles, one tackle for loss, one interception and three pass deflections. He did not allow an opposing receiver to catch a touchdown pass in 56 targets.

The reasoning for Maitre’s decision to attend Boston College’s pro day and not Wisconsin’s is not known. The six-year college football veteran currently projects to go as an undrafted free agent.
