Winter's bounty: Indoor farmers' market continues on select Saturdays at Old Trail School

Spring is just around the corner, but people don't have to wait to shop at a farmers' market.

Countryside Farmers' Market is continuing its Winter Farmers' Market indoors at Old Trail School, 2315 Ira Road, Bath, through April.

The market, which features more than 30 vendors, runs from 9 a.m. to noon on select Saturdays. The next dates are March 19 and April 2, 16, and 30.

Vendors in the gymnasium and cafeteria provide a variety of seasonal fruits and vegetables, artisan breads, baked goods, small grains, jams and jellies, honey, fresh pastas, pastured eggs, beef, pork, bison, lamb, handcrafted soaps and body products, fresh-roasted coffee, locally blended teas, mushrooms, fermented products, elderberry syrup, fresh flowers and Mediterranean foods.

Local artists feature crafts and gifts and local musicians perform weekly.

Customers can shop in person or preorder online each week between 10 a.m. Tuesdays and 6 p.m. Wednesdays for curbside pickup during market hours.
