Wine Spectators gives 11 Santa Fe restaurants awards of excellence
Jul. 4—Santa Fe placed 11 eateries on the Wine Spectator restaurant awards lists that focus on the excellence of the wine cellars.
They were among nearly 3,200 restaurants around the world to earn the magazine's Award of Excellence, Best of Award of Excellence and Grand Award designations that were announced June 27.
La Casa Sena and The Compound were the only Santa Fe recipients of the Best of Award of Excellence. La Casa Sena has received Wine Spectator awards of excellence continuously since 1992, the longest stretch among Santa Fe restaurants.
The Award of Excellence was given to Sazón, Sassella, Luminaria Restaurant, La Boca, TerraCota Wine Bistro, Andiamo!, Restaurant Martin, Geronimo and Red Sage Restaurant & Bar.
The magazine described the 1,290 restaurants that received the Best of Award of Excellence as "those that go the extra mile."
