Cauley-Stein has been sidelined for over a month since his straining his left foot while scrimmaging. The big man also told reporters he expects guard/forward Alec Burks to make his team debut against Phoenix as well.

The Warriors signed Cauley-Stein to a two-year contract this offseason in hopes of adding another lob threat and someone who can help on the glass. He has been itching to play and prove himself on his new team, calling the delay "torture."
"Man, I'm just so happy to be healthy again," Cauley-Stein said to reporters.

Cauley-Stein, the No. 6 pick from the 2015 NBA Draft, averaged 11.9 points and 8.4 rebounds per game last season with the Sacramento Kings. He averaged 10.1 points and 6.4 rebounds per game over four seasons with the Kings to start off his NBA career.
The Warriors have been punished on the boards and could use as much help in their frontcourt as possible right now. The addition of Burks should be a big boost, too.
Burks, 28, signed a one-year contract with the Warriors this past offseason. He also is a former lottery pick -- No. 12 by Jazz in the 2011 draft -- looking to resurrect his career. The eight-year pro averaged 8.8 points per game last season between three teams -- the Jazz, Cavs and Kings -- and shot 36.3 percent from 3-point range.

He should help right away as a shooting guard and small forward, and will be relied upon for his stroke from beyond the arc.
The 1-2 Warriors are in transition. This new roster still is figuring each other out, and adding solid veterans to the mix can only help.
