Why you shouldn’t sleep on Boston Celtics backup big Luke Kornet

Whether he is ready for it or not, we are almost certainly going to be seeing a fair amount of game time for Boston Celtics reserve big man Luke Kornet on Friday night in his team’s game against the new-look Cleveland Cavaliers.

With backup forward Grant Williams suspended for the game after making contact with a referee in Boston’s loss to the Chicago Bulls earlier this week and starting center Robert Williams III still healing from arthroscopic surgery on his knee, the Vanderbilt product’s number is almost certainly getting called.

But the host of the NBC Sports Boston “Celtics Talk” podcast Chris Forsberg thinks we needn’t worry about leaning on Kornet, detailing why in the latest episode of his podcast.
