Which fantasy baseball stars are most like 'Game Of Thrones' characters?
Let’s not beat around the bush: “Game of Thrones” is a cultural phenomenon. It’s being included in a lot of “Top-Five Shows of All Time” lists, and it’s not even over!
But the beginning of the end, however, is here, as the final season of the critically acclaimed show will premiere on Sunday, April 14. The build-up of GoT’s final season has coincided well will the start of the fantasy baseball season, so the question inevitably begs to be answered:
Which MLB players most resemble “Game of Thrones” characters?
[It’s still not too late to join or create a 2019 Yahoo Fantasy Baseball league]
Matt Stroup and Rotoworld set out to answer that question.
(ALERT: Video contains slight spoilers for those who aren’t up to date in the show.)
So which players have doppelgängers in Westeros?
The obvious one which everyone knows: Justin Turner = Tormund Giantsbane. Nuff said.
Next up, is the giant Aaron Judge, who is the closest to GoT’s Ser Gregor Clegane, aka the Mountain!
His brother, The Hound, is Troy Tulowitski, who is somehow still around after all those injuries.
Another popular character is Jon Snow, and Rotoworld went with the NL Comeback Player of the Year, Jonny Venters.
Melisandre = Shohei Ohtani. Ohtani works his magic as both a hitter and pitcher; the closest thing to a sorcerer in the MLB.
