Where each Big 12 football team lands in ESPN’s updated SP+ rankings
ESPN recently updated its SP+ ratings following spring ball.
The original release was published in February, and quite a bit has changed since then due to transfer portal departures and acquisitions.
As a reminder, these projections are primarily based on returning production, recent recruiting and recent history of each program. Along with the typical powerhouses atop the rankings, Texas was one of the few teams to not have any movement from their February ranking (No. 9).
The Longhorns lead the Big 12 in ESPN’s updated SP+ rankings, followed by Oklahoma, TCU and Kanas State. Kansas wraps up the tail end of the conference at No. 61.
