Where Auburn softball lands in the national rankings following South Carolina series
Auburn softball continues to have success on the diamond, which is important for this time of year.
Their recent triumphs have reflected their recent placement across all four national polls as well. For the second week in a row, Auburn is ranked within the top 20 of every national poll, and they are ranked within the top 15 in three of the four major polls.
This week, attention turns toward Mississippi State, as the Tigers look to finish the regular season strong by hosting the Bulldogs. Mississippi State is not receiving votes this week but is not a team that the Tigers can take lightly. Last week, the Bulldogs swept Kentucky, who was previously ranked in all four polls.
A successful weekend, plus an LSU series win over Georgia, could push Auburn into a top-three seed for next week’s SEC Tournament, hosted by Arkansas.
Here’s a look at where Auburn stands in the national polls ahead of this weekend’s regular-season finale.
