West Ham surge back to beat Nottingham Forest in five-goal thriller

West Ham fought back from 2-1 down to beat Nottingham Forest 3-2 and ease the pressure on David Moyes.

Lucas Paqueta gave West Ham an early lead but Forest equalized before the break through Taiwo Awoniyi. Forest then took the lead through Anthony Elanga in the second half but Jarrod Bowen equalized moments later and Tomas Soucek scored a late winner as Ward-Prowse put on a clinic with two assists.

With the win West Ham move on to 17 points, while Forest stay on 13.

Forest are level just before the break. Sangare wins the ball back, feeds Morgan Gibbs-White and his shot is pushed out and Awoniyi is on hand to tap home.

That is a sensational stop. Toffolo whips in a lovely cross from the left which finds Awoniyi at the back post and his header looks certain to hit the back of the net but Areola saves and West Ham clear the loose ball. Brilliant save from Areola.
