Brighton and Hove Albion travel to West Brom in the Premier League on Saturday, with the two sides both needing points in the fight against relegation.

Graham Potter’s men lost to Crystal Palace in their most recent outing, despite dominating huge stretches of the game - a common issue for the Seagulls this season, where their performances are not being rewarded by victories on account of lacking a finishing touch all too often.

They are currently 16th, four points and two places above the relegation zone, but have taken two points over the last three matches while 18th-placed Fulham have claimed seven points over the same period to close the gap considerably.

West Brom are in dire straights in 19th, taking just two points in that same recent three-game mini stretch, and they are a massive 11 points from safety with just 13 matches left to play. They’ll also be under-strength in defence in this game, with Semi Ajayi having been sent-off in the recent draw with Burnley.

What is the team news?

Semi Ajayi is suspended for West Brom after being sent-off last weekend. He’s likely to be replaced by Dara O’Shea. Robert Snodgrass should be fit to return to the line-up after a minor knee injury, while Grady Diangana could also feature after making the bench last time out.

Tariq Lamptey is finally back to fitness, but might not start yet for Brighton. Solly March, Jose Izquierdo and Adam Webster are all out injured. There could be some tactical tweaks from Graham Potter as he looks to find a formula which provides a finishing touch to go with the often-impressive build-up.

Predicted line-ups

WBA - Johnstone; Furlong, O’Shea, Bartley, Townsend; Snodgrass, Maitland-Niles, Yokuslu, Gallagher, Pereira; Diagne

BRI - Sanchez; Veltman, White, Dunk, Burn; Alzate, Bissouma, Gross; Mac Allister; Welbeck, Trossard

Odds

West Brom - 17/5

Draw - 13/5

Brighton - 1/1

Prediction

The Seagulls only really take one approach into matches and West Brom might just be savvy enough to frustrate them and make them pay for any lapses at the back. West Brom 1-1 Brighton.
