Wells Fargo Center ice gets fresh paint before start of Flyers season

Fresh ice installed at WFC ahead of Flyers' season opener originally appeared on NBC Sports Philadelphia

Just two weeks ahead of the Flyers' season-opening game against the Penguins, the team announced that it has installed a fresh sheet of ice at the arena, a clear welcoming sign that hockey is back in our lives.

With the Flyers set to take on Pittsburgh on Jan. 13 at 5:30 p.m. ET on a national NBC broadcast on the league's true opening night, the whole hockey world will be treated to the new look at the WFC.

The Flyers' 2020-21 season will kick off with a two-game series at home with the rival Penguins before another two-game set here against the Sabres. In total, the Flyers will have six home games in the entire month of January.
