Here's a look inside Lakeland University's eSports program, which is led by former Green Bay Packers player Ahman Green
The NFL in 2020 quickly has become divided into haves and have nots. One of the haves could soon have a pretty good receiver on the roster. Antonio Brown will be eligible to practice and play in only two weeks.
Tennessee Titans coach Mike Vrabel is proving to be this generation's “Genius.” Vrabel showed he is as shrewd as they come during the final minutes of the fourth quarter as his Titans faced defeat against the Houston Texans. Tennessee is trailing 30-29 with just over 3:00 remaining in the game.

NFL Power Rankings Week 7: Patriots tumble after loss to Broncos originally appeared on NBC Sports Boston Wow, what a crazy Week 6 of the 2020 NFL season. We saw plenty of wild games and surprising outcomes that will force us to re-consider the quality of several alleged contenders. Some teams stood out with excellent performances, including the Tampa Bay Buccaneers routing the Green Bay Packers 38-10, as well as the Pittsburgh Steelers dominating the Cleveland Browns 38-7.
With the Jets at 0-6 and having good odds to land the No. 1 pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, you can count former Jet Keyshawn Johnson among those who thinks Gang Green should resist the urge to pick Trevor Lawrence if they wind up there. While speaking very critically of the Jets on Monday morning and saying they have bigger holes to fill than quarterback, Johnson came out in favor of keeping Sam Darnold and passing on Lawrence. "You drafted a guy three years ago with the third pick in the draft because he was your Trevor Lawrence," Johnson said on the Keyshawn, JWill, and Zubin show on ESPN Radio.
When Miami Dolphins rookie quarterback Tua Tagovailoa made his NFL debut during the final drive of Sunday's 24-0 annihilation of the New York Jets, no one appeared happier than the man he will one day replace, Ryan Fitzpatrick. Fitzpatrick knows this is his team only temporarily. Fitzpatrick is seventh in the league in QBR and should remain in that territory after tossing three touchdowns against the Jets.
Following the New England Patriots' 18-12 loss to the Denver Broncos on Sunday, coach Bill Belichick hammered one specific point home as a reason for defeat. Following COVID-19 outbreaks within the organization, Patriots did not get to practice much leading up to Sunday's game, with one full practice and one walkthrough. The organization had to close the practice facility on Saturday as a result of new positive tests.
Cincinnati Bengals and Los Angeles Chargers fans have had multiple weeks to enjoy their rookie first-round quarterbacks, and Joe Burrow and Justin Herbert have done well. Miami Dolphins fans hadn't seen any of Tua Tagovailoa, the fifth pick of the NFL draft, and that included a preseason canceled due to the coronavirus. Through five games, Tagovailoa hadn't taken a snap.
Here's who else is guaranteed: Zack Britton: $13 million Aaron Hicks: $10.789 million Luis Severino: $10.750 Brett Gardner: $2.5 million (buyout money if Yanks don't want to exercise $10 million 2021 option) Adam Ottavino: $8.850 million EXPECTED ARBITRATION RAISES FOR 2021 That committed $135 million will definitely be going up with 12 arbitration-eligible players for the Yankees this offseason. Of course, the Yankees would love to hammer out deals with players before they reach arbitration, but we know that doesn't always work out that way (i.e. Dellin Betances in the past).

While the Lakers should be dealing with parade logistics and texting each other hangover cures as they celebrate title No. 17, the reality of the NBA offseason comes fast. With Rajon Rondo and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope expected to exercise their player options and become free-agents this summer (Avery Bradley and JaVale McGee can join them), the Lakers need to look at their roster around LeBron James and Anthony Davis (AD will opt out but he's not going anywhere). Los Angeles has just two rotation players under age 26 (Kyle Kuzma and Alex Caruso), and it needs more shooting and playmaking.
Several former Black Iowa football players sent a letter to the university earlier this month demanding $20 million and that longtime Iowa coach Kirk Ferentz, assistant coach Brian Ferentz and athletic director Gary Barta be fired over allegations of racial discrimination during their time with the program, according to The Des Moines Register's Chad Leistikow. Dozens of former Iowa players have spoken out in recent months about their experiences playing for Ferentz in Iowa City, many of whom said they felt they were treated unfairly and were unable to be themselves on Ferentz's teams because they were Black. Many complaints were directed toward strength coach Chris Doyle, too, who was put on administrative leave and later reached a separation agreement with the school.
In this week's edition of the NHL Power Rankings we shift our focus to the trades that have taken place so far this offseason, and which teams have made the best addition. Which additions do we like the most? Not sure Saad ever became the player a lot of people expected him to be, but he is still a 20-goal, possession driving forward that gives an already stacked team even more talent.
Despite a 24-0 loss to the Miami Dolphins that dropped the Jets to a lonely 0-6 as the NFL's only winless team, Adam Gase offered a direct response when he was asked about his job status. "I'm not even thinking about it," Gase said. "I have to focus on making sure our guys are ready to go when we get back in the building on Monday and Wednesday and Thursday, Friday, Saturday and getting ready for this next game."
Nico Collins' Michigan football career appears to officially be over. Star receiver Nico Collins was no longer listed on the Wolverines' roster Monday morning, with the team's season opener at Minnesota less than one week away. Collins had yet to comment on his status after signing with an agent during the Big Ten's COVID-19 shutdown, and the program had no comment on his removal from the roster.
If you knew of Vasiliy Lomachenko's pedigree, and his history, and his mind for boxing, you kept expecting a response. Round after round went by in his bout for the undisputed lightweight title with Teofimo Lopez on Saturday and the immediate thought was that he was searching for an answer he'd soon reveal. He went long stretches, particularly in the first half of the fight, without throwing punches.
Mickelson flew ahead on his final nine to win the Dominion Energy Charity Classic at The Country Club of Virginia on Sunday, marking his second win in two starts on the PGA Tour Champions — the PGA Tour's senior tour. He finished with a 7-under 65, thanks to four birdies in his final six holes, to grab a three-stroke win over Mike Weir. Mickelson is now just the third player in the tour's history to win his first two starts, and the second this year after Jim Furyk accomplished the feat at The Ally Challenge and Pure Insurance Championship.
Deebo Samuel has gotten off to a good start in his NFL career, catching 68 passes for 922 yards and four touchdowns in his first 18 games. In fact, the best defensive player on the planet, Aaron Donald, doesn't even know who he is – or at least he claims to not know Samuel's name. After the Rams' loss to the 49ers on Sunday night, Donald was asked a question about defending a player like Samuel.
