Weekend Cape Cod high school state tournament scoreboard

Cape Cod is down to its final 10 playoff teams in the MIAA state tournament. All ten were scheduled to play on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, fighting for a chance to play in the Final Four of their respective sports and divisions.

Follow all the scores that happened over the weekend.

Friday

Boys Lacrosse

Div. 4: No. 2 Sandwich 15, No. 7 Lynnfield 4: Connor Stack led the way for the Blue Knights as he went 17-for-20 on faceoffs, scored three goals and dished out four assists in the win.

Cole Rodgers (four goals), Avery Richardson (five goals), Hunter West-Mather (two goals, one assist) and Brady Carroll (one goal, one assist) all contributed on offense, while Shane Corcoran had 15 saves in net for Sandwich (14-7).

Boys Tennis

Div. 3: No. 2 Martha’s Vineyard 5, No. 10 Medfield 0: The Vineyarders (16-2) continue their dominant playoff run as they have not lost a set, sweeping all their opponents (No. 15 Boston Latin Academy and No. 34 Ludlow). They are headed back to the Final Four for the second straight year. They will face No. 3 Dover-Sherbon on Monday at 4 p.m.

Div. 4: No. 2 Cohasset 5, No. 7 Nantucket 0: The Whalers (10-7) season ended in the Elite Eight. They beat No. 26 Seekonk 4-1 in the Round of 32, and No. 10 Hopedale 3-2 in the Sweet Sixteen.

Saturday

Baseball

Div. 5: No. 2 Bourne 8, No. 26 Greenfield 1: The Canalmen (16-7) are headed to the Final Four. Jack Ferreira was named the Regional MVP as he went 2-0 over 10 innings, allowing only one earned run, a walk and striking out 14 on the mound. At the plate, he had a batting average of .375, with seven RBIs and five runs scored.

In Saturday's game, Ferreira struck out four and allowed a single run over five innings, white adding a single, an RBI, two stolen bases, and two scored runs for Bourne (16-7). Damon White came in as the reliever in the top of the sixth inning and struck out all six batters he saw. White also added a triple, an RBI and scored a run. Jacob Lewis went 2-for-4 (single, double, two runs scored, RBI), while Trevor Billard went 2-for-3 (single, double, two RBIs, scored run) for the Canalmen. Bourne will face the winner of tomorrow's matchup between No. 14 Frontier Regional and No. 6 Ayer Shirley.

Girls Lacrosse

Div. 4: No. 3 Dover-Sherborn 16, No. 6 Sandwich 5: The Blue Knights (16-5) season ended in the Elite Eight.

Girls Tennis

Div. 4: No. 5 Lenox Memorial 3, No. 4 St. John Paul II 2: The Lions (18-2) lost their second match of the season in the Elite Eight.

Sunday

Boys Lacrosse

Div. 3: No. 7 Falmouth 12, No. 2 Pentucket Regional 9: The Clippers upset the No. 2 seed and will play No. 3 Newburyport in the state semifinals.

Div. 4: No. 3 Dover-Sherborn 10, No. 6 Nantucket 3: The Whalers end the year at 14-7.

Girls Lacrosse

Div. 4: No. 5 Manchester-Essex 10, No. 4 Nantucket 4: The Whalers end the year at 19-4.
