It’s often standard policy to nab a kicker on a good offense late in fantasy drafts and off the waiver wire throughout the season. Wil Lutz is one such kicker in prime scoring position week in and week out thanks to Drew Brees and the rest of the Saints.
But on Monday night in Week 5, in the midst of a historic performance by Brees, Lutz ended up turning on the fantasy owners who had faith in him.
On this edition of Bad Beats, Andy Behrens goes through a trail of fantasy havoc caused by Lutz against the Washington Redskins the moment he missed an extra point early in the game.
In our Dishonorable Mention of the week, Andy hears about a player who needed a pretty regular performance by fantasy star Alvin Kamara to win his matchup. I mean, Kamara had been arguably the MVP of fantasy football this season, so anything close to his norm would have been more than enough. Well, things ended up anything but normal with a nine-touch, 39-yard dud of a game.
