Folsom avenges loss to Sac High: Folsom overcame a 10-0 first half deficit to beat Sacramento 28-19. A player who shined in defeat for the Dragons is senior WR/DB Anthony Bradley.

Vacaville can’t get over SFL hump: The Bulldogs have two losses by two combined points to undefeated squads Oak Ridge and Granite Bay. On Friday, Granite Bay won 21-20 after Vacaville missed a late field goal. Timothy Jackson had a touchdown run and a long interception return.

Rancho Cotate passes first big test: How good is Rancho Cotate? The Cougars have overwhelmed opponents through two games, but posted a key 33-28 win at Campolindo. The Cougars led 26-14 in the first half before Campolindo closed with 14 straight points.

Menlo-Atherton evens its record at 2-2: Menlo-Atherton got six rushing touchdowns, including four from Miles Conrad in beating Los Gatos 58-41. The Bears lost to Bellarmine and Mitty by a combined 12 points, but have averaged 43 points in their two wins.

Oak Ridge gets long awaited win: The Trojans snapped a three game losing streak to Reed with a 24-21 win in El Dorado Hills. All three losses were by double digits. Reed beat Clayton Valley Charter earlier this year. Oak Ridge hosts Folsom, Del Oro and Rocklin in SFL action.

Milpitas makes its case: St. Francis is considered the top team in the Central Coast Section, but Milpitas shouldn’t be overlooked. The Trojans have outscored American, Berkeley and Salinas 141-6. They have won the first quarters 61-0.
