No. 2 Apopka (2-0) at Dr. Phillips (1-1)

Coverage by Lynn Ramsey

Apopka is No. 3 in Class 4M. Dr. Phillips is No. 10.

The Blue Darters have scored 16 points and allowed 7.

Apopka has won nine in a row against DP.

No. 10 West Orange (1-1) at No. 3 Edgewater (2-0)

Coverage by Philip Rossman-Reich

Edgewater is No. 2 in Class 3M after tight wins against Bishop Moore 24-19 and Clearwater Academy International 15-14.

West Orange is No. 9 in 4M.

This is only the second meeting between these Metro Conference rivals in 19 years. The Eagles won 46-0 in 2016 and 26-14 last season.

No. 4 Jones (0-2) at No. 14 Kissimmee Osceola (0-2)

Coverage by Chris Hays

Two teams accustomed to winning hope to end skids against tough competition.

Jones lost its opener to defending state champ Cocoa and was beaten 40-14 last week on a road trip to Maryland to face nationally-ranked Our Lady of Good Counsel. But the Tigers have slipped just one notch, from third to fourth in the 3M rankings.

Osceola lost to area No. 1 Seminole and Treasure Coast but remains No. 7 in 4S.

Oviedo (1-1) at No. 5 Lake Mary (1-0)

Coverage by Max Gamarra

Two prolific quarterbacks could put on a show.

Lake Mary sophomore QB Noah Grubbs, who turned 16 this week, set Seminole County records by passing for 528 yards and 8 TDs in Week 1.

Oviedo senior Jackson LaTour is 34-of-66 for 492 yards and 6 TDs and has not thrown an interception.
Lake Mary is No. 7 in MaxPreps 4M Rankings.

Columbia is a storied North Florida program.

No. 12 Evans (2-0) at No. 7 Ocoee (1-1)

Coverage by J.C. Carnahan

Push comes to shove. Evans is averaging 318 rushing yards and Ocoee’s defense has been terrific with 25 tackles for loss and 13 sacks.

Ocoee is No. 10 and Evans is 14 in the MaxPreps 4M rankings.

No. 11 Winter Park (1-0) at No. 16 Boone (1-1)

Coverage by Chris Martucci

Winter Park is 5-0 against the Braves dating to 2016 – including a 38-3 win last year.

Boone tries again to get coach Andy Johnson career win No. 100 after losing 19-17 to Evans last week. But again it won’t be easy.

Winter Park, No. 8 in 4M, had its Week 2 game washed out due to Hurricane Idalia.

No. 8 Wekiva (1-1) at No. 15 Lake Minneola (0-2)

This is their second meeting Lake Minneola eked out a 30-27 win last year after seeing a 30-7 lead almost disappear.

Wekiva is ranked No. 10 in 3M.

Lake Nona (1-1) at No. 10 Olympia (1-1)

They are 1-1 against each other. Olympia prevailed 20-14 last season.

No. 13 Orange City University (2-0) at Seabreeze (0-2)

OCU junior quarterback Malachi Walters is 23-of-32 passing (72%), good for 415 yards and 4 TDs.

The Titans jumped into the Super 16 off a win at Oviedo.

This game is at Daytona Stadium.

This game is at Deputy Scott Pine Community Park.

Windermere Prep (0-1) at Orlando Christian Prep (2-0)

The Lakers and Warriors did not play the past three years but there were a lot of points scored in the series when they were conference rivals. Windermere Prep beat OCP in 2018 and twice in 2019 in the most recent games.

OCP, No. 8 in 1M, is the heavy favorite this time.
