Week 3 football live report: No. 1 Seminole travels to take on Treasure Coast
Week 3 of the high school football season sees eight of the Sentinel Super 16 teams playing at home and eight playing away tonight.
Top-ranked Sanford Seminole has the longest road trip, to Port St. Lucie. The Seminoles take on also-unbeaten Treasure Coast.
Games are set to start at 7 p.m. unless noted otherwise.

Games with Sentinel Super 16 teams

No. 1 Seminole (2-0) at Treasure Coast (2-0)
MaxPreps ranks Seminole No. 2 in Class 4 Metro behind reigning state champ Miami Columbus. Treasure Coast is No. 3 in 4 Suburban.
Both have wins against Kissimmee Osceola, a 2022 state semifinal program.
Seminole beat the Titans 41-22 a year ago.
Ocoee moves into Top 10 of Sentinel Super 16 football rankings
No. 2 Apopka (2-0) at Dr. Phillips (1-1)

Apopka is No. 3 in Class 4M. Dr. Phillips is No. 10.
The Blue Darters have scored 16 points and allowed 7.
Apopka has won nine in a row against DP.
No. 10 West Orange (1-1) at No. 3 Edgewater (2-0)

Edgewater is No. 2 in Class 3M after tight wins against Bishop Moore 24-19 and Clearwater Academy International 15-14.
West Orange is No. 9 in 4M.
This is only the second meeting between these Metro Conference rivals in 19 years. The Eagles won 46-0 in 2016 and 26-14 last season.
No. 4 Jones (0-2) at No. 14 Kissimmee Osceola (0-2)

Two teams accustomed to winning hope to end skids against tough competition.
Jones lost its opener to defending state champ Cocoa and was beaten 40-14 last week on a road trip to Maryland to face nationally-ranked Our Lady of Good Counsel. But the Tigers have slipped just one notch, from third to fourth in the 3M rankings.
Osceola lost to area No. 1 Seminole and Treasure Coast but remains No. 7 in 4S.
Oviedo (1-1) at No. 5 Lake Mary (1-0)

Two prolific quarterbacks could put on a show.
Lake Mary sophomore QB Noah Grubbs, who turned 16 this week, set Seminole County records by passing for 528 yards and 8 TDs in Week 1.
Oviedo senior Jackson LaTour is 34-of-66 for 492 yards and 6 TDs and has not thrown an interception.

Lake City Columbia (0-1) at No. 6 DeLand (1-1)
DeLand, No. 10 in 4S, lost at Columbia 21-16 a year ago.
Senior playmaker Javon Ross has generated 303 yards on kick returns, 197 on 8 receptions and 76 on 10 runs from scrimmage coming into this game. QB T.J. Moore is 19-of-25 passing for 371 yards and 3 TDs.
Columbia is a storied North Florida program.
No. 12 Evans (2-0) at No. 7 Ocoee (1-1)

Push comes to shove. Evans is averaging 318 rushing yards and Ocoee’s defense has been terrific with 25 tackles for loss and 13 sacks.
Ocoee is No. 10 and Evans is 14 in the MaxPreps 4M rankings.
No. 11 Winter Park (1-0) at No. 16 Boone (1-1)

Winter Park is 5-0 against the Braves dating to 2016 – including a 38-3 win last year.
Boone tries again to get coach Andy Johnson career win No. 100 after losing 19-17 to Evans last week. But again it won’t be easy.
Winter Park, No. 8 in 4M, had its Week 2 game washed out due to Hurricane Idalia.
No. 8 Wekiva (1-1) at No. 15 Lake Minneola (0-2)
This is their second meeting Lake Minneola eked out a 30-27 win last year after seeing a 30-7 lead almost disappear.
Wekiva is ranked No. 10 in 3M.
Lake Nona (1-1) at No. 10 Olympia (1-1)
They are 1-1 against each other. Olympia prevailed 20-14 last season.
No. 13 Orange City University (2-0) at Seabreeze (0-2)
OCU junior quarterback Malachi Walters is 23-of-32 passing (72%), good for 415 yards and 4 TDs.
The Titans jumped into the Super 16 off a win at Oviedo.
This game is at Daytona Stadium.

Tohopekaliga (1-0) at Foundation Academy (2-0)

Class 2M Foundation comes in averaging 64 points. Tohopekaliga, a 4S team, scored 56 in its opener.
Both quarterbacks, Tohopekaliga sophomore Sabby Measick, and Lions junior Michael Dove, have completed 14-of-21 passing attempts (66.7%).
Dove’s completions have gone for 326 yards and 7 TDs. He’s also averaged 7.2 yards on 10 carries with 3 TDs.
Measick has 292 passing yards and 6 TDs and carried once for 6 yards.
Neither has been intercepted.
Mount Dora (2-0) at Leesburg (2-0)
Mount Dora beat Leesburg 33-32 last season at home, but this is a different Leesburg squad.
The Yellow Jackets have outscored opponents 76-6 and QB Salomon Georges is 24-of-p29 passing for 461 yards and 6 TDs.
Mount Dora junior QB Jake Sepe is 16-of-24 passing for 204 yards and 4 TDs.
Cypress Creek (0-1) at Windermere High (2-0)
Windermere, in its seventh season, seeks to win three times in a season for the first time. The Wolverines were 9-49 in their first six campaigns.
Cypress Creek won at home, 27-0, last year and leads the series 3-2.
This game is at Deputy Scott Pine Community Park.
Windermere Prep (0-1) at Orlando Christian Prep (2-0)
The Lakers and Warriors did not play the past three years but there were a lot of points scored in the series when they were conference rivals. Windermere Prep beat OCP in 2018 and twice in 2019 in the most recent games.
OCP, No. 8 in 1M, is the heavy favorite this time.
Colonial (0-2) at Horizon (2-0)
The third year Hawks, rushing for 317 yards per game so far, won 49-0 at Colonial a year ago.
