Wayne State sweeps Beavers in season-opening series

Feb. 12—ELKHORN, Neb. — The Bemidji State baseball team lost its first four games of the 2024 season over the weekend against Wayne State in Elkhorn, Neb.

The Wildcats (4-0, 4-0 NSIC) held the Beavers (0-4, 0-4 NSIC) to one hit in Friday's 12-0 win. WSU took both seven-inning games on Saturday by scores of 7-1 and 16-0. BSU put up nine runs in a 12-9 defeat to cap the four-game set on the road.
