Unlike England's record in big tournaments, you can almost always rely on the TV coverage to impress. And with ITV and BBC assembling a stellar line-up of pundits for the 2018 World Cup, this year looks no different.

The two channels are once again sharing the rights to show the competition to UK audiences, with all 64 matches shown live.

Former World Cup Golden Boot winner Gary Lineker is fronting the BBC's coverage of the event while Mark Pougatch is the face of ITV's offering.

Regular BBC contributors Alan Shearer, Rio Ferdinand and Frank Lampard are joined by fresh additions in Didier Drogba and Pablo Zabaleta.

Telegraph Sport columnists Alex Scott and Cesc Fabregas are also being employed as pundits.
