Watch: Why Lamar Jackson to the Lions would be a bad idea

Lamar Jackson to the Lions?

It’s a buzzing topic, fueled in part by one sportsbook listing the Lions as the odds-on favorite to be the landing spot for the Ravens quarterback. Baltimore placed the non-exclusive franchise tag on Jackson after being unable to reach a long-term deal.

Acquiring Jackson would cost the Lions – or any NFL team — two first-round picks. It would also mean footing the bill for Jackson’s large contractual desires.

Is that a good idea for the Lions, who will have to pay Jared Goff a much bigger salary in the near future if they wish to keep Goff around? We broke it down on the Detroit Lions Podcast.
