Watch: Warriors’ Selom Mawugbe block leads to explosive one-handed dunk from Jonathan Kuminga in summer league

Another summer league game for the Golden State Warriors means another highlight-reel dunk for Jonathan Kuminga.

Through three games in Las Vegas, the No. 7 overall selection for the Warriors from the 2021 draft continues to impress with his physicality and eye-popping athleticism.

As the Warriors met Trey Murphy III and the New Orleans Pelicans on Sunday in the desert, Kuminga added another emphatic dunk to his summer league resume.

Instead of crossing a defender over or barreling through the lane with power, Kuminga capitalized on the steller defensive player of his teammate.

With Didi Louzada driving to the cup, Golden State center Selom Mawugbe denied the Pelicans wing at the rim. After the block, Kyle Guy quickly whipped the ball down court to a downhill Kuminga. The 18-year-old took one dribble before exploding to the bucket for a rim-rocking dunk.

Although the Warriors fell to the Pelicans in overtime, Kuminga notched a game-high 17 points on 5-of-12 shooting from the field with eight rebounds and four assists in 26 minutes.

Kuminga and the Warriors will be back at the Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas for another summer league contest on Tuesday against the Los Angeles Lakers.
