Watch: New video surfaces of Trevor Lawrence throwing

Trevor Lawrence has been limited in terms of football activities since his pro day after recovering from surgery on his non-throwing shoulder to fix his labrum. However, it seems he’s now back on the field at least throwing.

A video posted to the Instagram story of Lawrence’s offseason coach, Jordan Palmer, shows the quarterback throwing on a football field. It’s hard to judge the singular throw on the video too much, especially when considering the surgery was done on his non-throwing shoulder, but it is a good sign that Lawrence is progressing well on his projected five to six-month recovery.

Though he was initially slated to throw in Clemson’s pro day on March 11, he rescheduled a personal pro day a month earlier to enable him to get surgery earlier and ensure he’ll be ready in time for the 2021 season. Jaguars coach Urban Meyer and Palmer worked with Lawrence to coordinate his private pro day.

The Jags will take Lawrence with the first overall pick regardless of how far along in the recovery process he is, but the fact that he’s already throwing again in April is certainly a good sign.
