Trevor Etienne is often confused with his older brother, Travis. And for good reason. Trevor, a true freshman, has dazzled at times this season. Sharing the running back duties with Montrell Johnson, Etienne tends to take advantage of his opportunities.
That’s exactly what he did late in the first quarter. After an incredible series of blocks by the offensive line, Etienne hit the hole on a basic 2nd down handoff. Once he saw the open field, he turned on the jets. He flew down the sideline and was eventually caught by a South Carolina defender. Despite that, he managed to dive and make an effort to score the touchdown.
After a short review, the call on the field stood and the Gators went ahead 21-0.
Here is how Twitter reacted to Etienne’s fantastic 85-yard touchdown run.
