The Longhorns are firing on all cylinders right now.

Texas currently leads Texas Tech 35-7 with five minutes to go in the first half. Bijan Robinson and Roschon Johnson have dominated the game on the ground, while quarterback Casey Thompson added on a rushing touchdown of his own.

One of the primary highlights of the first half came when Texas cornerback Josh Thompson picked off Texas Tech quarterback Tyler Shough in the second quarter. He returned it 27 yards for a touchdown to make the score 28-7.

His anticipation and timing couldn’t have been better.

This is easily the most impressive performance from Texas this season. The offense is moving the ball with ease, the defense has provided numerous big plays, and the special teams unit nearly had a punt blocked for the second consecutive week.

Shough has now been declared out for the remainder of the game due to injury.
